Window Edge Foam is Tinbys name for a piece of insulation foam (“PIR-foam”) in plate form being used as an insulator around windows and doors instead of mineral wool.

PUR/PIR foam plates are an effective insulation materials on the marked. The foam plates are light, easy to handle and mount. The materials low heat conductivity means that a thin layer of insulation can reach high energy efficiency levels, PUR/PIR is very versatile. Therefore, it can be used a variety of places of construction.

PUR is conserving the high insulation ability throughout the entire lifespan because it does not retain moisture or water.

Skumplast is an unique insulation for larger roofs, industrial buildings, buildings for farming or other constructions.

The plates can be places on steel plates or felt board just like felt board can be placed directly on the PUR/PIR foam plates.

Advantages:

  • High insulation ability even with thinner layers

  • Long lifespan

  • Stabile form and dimension

  • High compressive strength

  • Water resistant and does not absorb moisture

  • Low weight

  • Easily adaptable

  • Can be produced in your specific size requirements

The material is easy to work with as it,

  • Easily can be cut and does not crumble or break.

  • Does not itch when in contact with the body and is not burning it in contact with your eye area.

  • Has a good resistance to high temperatures (and thereby a low risk of catching fire)
