BEWI recycles your EPS. BEWI work together with both private and public organizations in order to collect EPS for recycling. The Company recycles both internal waste and post-consumer waste and turn it into new 100% recycled EPS. Using recycled EPS saves 56% CO2 compared to virgin EPS.

Recycling EPS is easy. In Denmark most municipalities collects EPS for recycling. After collecting it the municipalities sells it to BEWI. Then the company turns it into new raw material and are then able to make new EPS products out of it. By using 100% recycled EPS you safe 56% CO2 compared to producing in virgin material.

No matter how dirty the EPS is it can be recycled. If it is to dirty to be made into new EPS then it will be recycled chemically. In other words: EPS is 100% recyclable.

Many companies and municipalities have experienced a positive business case when selling EPS to recycling instead of sending it to incineration. When waste has a positive economic value it reduces the risk of littering.
